Everyday we are around people that have different meanings in our lives. They range from work colleagues, family , friends, friends that are more like family, spouses, neighbors and acquaintances. The people that are special and bring love and light to our lives keep us moving and inspire us to be better people. But sometimes we are fooled. The very people that are to love, care and adore us fail to see the value we bring or offer them in their lives and to others. They are blinded by their own jealousies, insecurities, or are incapable because of their own ego clouding a clear perspective.
It is a painful realization to see that the ones we believed in have fooled us and don’t see us

and our value the way it really is in all of its beautiful glory. But the thing is no one can make another see something they cannot on their own until they want to or are capable. Lately, I have been thinking about those in my life that can see my value and those that don’t.. It doesn’t take too much effort to identify who they are but sometimes the ones most clearly able to see our value surprise us as they were not who we may have immediately expected.
Taking an inventory of those who fit in to this critical category is immensely important to happiness. When we find it is time to do some house cleaning it can be hard but essential. When you look more closely it becomes fairly obvious where the changes may need to be made. Life is short and spending it with those that don’t appreciate or see your value is not a life work living or at least not living it with them in it. Make a list, write it down and take stock of what and who you put value on and are they giving that back to you.
So I challenge you to think about who in your life sees your true value. But more importantly do they know how special you are with all of your uniqueness? Only you can answer that but I encourage you not to settle for anything less or let anyone make you feel less than what you really are. EVER....
