If ever there was a classic book written that is stil relevant today on this topic it would be
“Who Moved My Cheese” . It is a fable that tells the tale of how learning to change the way you think and behave can be the difference between #success and #failure .

Spencer Johnson describes change in one’s work and life along with reactions to it. It was a #NewYorkTimesBestseller” when it was released and spent 200 weeks there. Spencer shows us that the same old routines don‘t work when we are in the middle of change and only if we are willing to modify our behavior can you truly move forward.
The cheese is a metaphor for what we want to have in life in the story and the maze is where you find it whether it be a good job or an organization where you want to work. Personally, it can represent the type of family or community you want to live in. In the end, the characters that are successful in getting the “cheese” overcome barriers, old ways of thinking and through perseverance.
As we very slowly move back toward “normalcy” in the workplace and in our personal lives things may look a little different and expectations may need to be adjusted. Be patient and design new ways of thinking based on your “new normal”. Some of the qualities that Spencer mentions in the book may just help you navigate your own personal & professional changes.
