Having been sequestered at home what a better time to start a diary of one of the most historical events of our lifetime and of modern history. For all of us, with the exception of one 104 year old man that I read about that has lived through and survived the 1918 pandemic, WWII, and has recovered from Covid-19( this guy is truly a miracle) we are all as a society experiencing something unique and all of us in our own way coping differently.

I heard on a news segment recently that there have been a lot of video diaries started but when I initially thought of starting one I could hardly think of creating a diary without thinking of The Diary of Anne Frank which of course was recorded via paper and pen providing an invaluable glimpse in to one of the darkest chapters of mankind's history. Obviously, we are technologically in a very different place in 2020 but does that matter?
As a book aficionado and reluctant e-book convert, to me there is something to be said for putting pen to paper and the feel of the smooth pages below your fingertips as you write the script of your life unfolding on the daily. Kind of sounds strange coming from a blogger reaching her audience via website and social media. But then I think about the value of pictures and voices and the raw emotions of video as a makeshift documentary (which by the way I also love depending on the subject). Just look at the power of #youtube and other video platforms we now integrate into our daily lives. Even #Facebook live videos are powerful tools. So back to my original thought and this question. Are you and or your family doing a diary and is it on Video or paper?
I am curious what my readers are doing. We all have our very own unique individual story to tell and for me it will be paper because I also have a little bit of an obsession with diaries, appointment daytimers and beautifully crafted leather covered journals. Would love to know what you all are doing! Looking forward to your comments.............
