When we think about all the things in life we want to do we always seem to have a reason why we can’t , won’t or why it shouldn’t work out. But it really begs the question of “What is holding you back”? More than likely it is several things but not least of which is our own negative self talk about why you can‘t do what you want to do.

We have all heard the saying that we always have the key to unlock our potential/happiness and we just need to decide to use it. So if it is really that simple why do we choose to stay stagnant or in a place that lacks the inertia to move us forward??. The answer to that question lies deep within each of us but it is a scary place to explore because if we find the answer it may obligate us to act on it.
However, what is the worst thing that can happen I ask you? We all know we have a finite amount of time on this earth so taking a leap of faith and changing the ending is all we really have right? Yes, it is right. If you are happy where you are then I salute you for good decisions and happy tomorrow’s. That really is something to be proud of and you should feel good about it. But......and here it comes, if you are not then what should or could you be doing to get to a better place.
Deep down there is always something holding you back from leaving a place of comfort in exchange for a place of a willfully intended destination. Are you where you are due to happenstance or maybe just a lack of planning to arrive at a destination you always wanted because it took too much effort or seemed too scary. What if you could imagine a place where anything was still possible and you could fall down the rabbit hole on purpose and find yourself in a magical wonderland that was full of new opportunities.....Would you take the ride and allow yourself to free fall and land wherever the rabbit hole might take you or would you side step it and march past it right back to where your started?
Would the risk be worth the reward? Hard to tell without going there first but that is the point. Living in the unknown and being fascinated by endless possibilities can be just as comforting as the cozy familiar sofa you land on each evening. Are you willing to take the ride? Are you willing to see what awaits you in the unknown? If not, you will never know what you might be missing. Yes, the grass is not always greener, but sometimes it actually is!!!!
