When I came up with this blog at the beginning of the pandemic it was an outlet for me when I felt trapped being at home like so many others. It was a great way to keep my mind occupied and release all of the things I was pondering during the #shelterinplace months.
The title for my blog “the pink soapbox” flowed easily as well as my tagline #staycurious. As time went by I realized that it really was a way of thinking for me not just a catchy line that sounded good.

Here’s why #staycurious has been important to me & could be to you as well.
1) It keeps your mind active
2) Allows you to constantly question your own values & thought process
3) Clears the way to see things from multiple angles & perspectives
4) Removes sedentary ways of doing things
5) Keeps you open to change
6) Helps you realize the world is always offering new opportunities to evaluate how we
interpret events
7) Prevents us from always believing our ways are the only way
8) Feeds our intellect making us more well rounded individuals
9) Elevates our imagination revealing possibilities we may never have considered in the past
10) It forces you to challenge your own private status quo‘s
I am sure there are many more but these are the ones that really come to mind when I think of the value of staying curious not just during a pandemic or times of crisis in our lives but every day. That old saying “Curiosity killed the cat” does a disservice to the cat and to the rest of us. Ignorance is not bliss, it‘s really just ignorance.
So #staycurious and believe in its power to continue to move us towards a better version of ourselves.
